The Trip to Bountiful is a poignant story following aging widow Mrs. Watts in her search for strength and survival. While living with her son and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Watts fears she’s a burden while simultaneously withering under their watchful eye. In an attempt to regain some sanity Mrs. Watts sneaks away to her former home in Bountiful, hoping to find peace-of-mind. What she finds instead are the realities of death and ultimately, the courage to survive.
